Netflix’s highly anticipated music reality series Hitmakers has finally premiered, bringing together 12 top global songwriters and producers to create fresh tracks for iconic artists like John Legend, Shaboozey, and BLACKPINK’s Lisa. The six-episode series, released worldwide on July 24, offers fans a behind-the-scenes look at the competitive world of songwriting camps.
Lisa’s Entry in Hitmakers
Lisa, who was teased throughout the season, makes her much-awaited appearance in the finale (Episode 6). Ahead of the episode’s release, Netflix dropped a teaser on July 23, showing Lisa addressing the contestants via video message.
“The type of song I’m looking for is something catchy and upbeat. Not too slow, because I’m a performer, so I have to dance,” Lisa explained. “It would be nice if there’s a rap verse as well. I love hip-hop. I’m excited to see what you come up with.”
Lisa Rejects Songs and Chooses “Eleven”
In Episode 6, contestants present three original tracks—Eleven, Back in Business, and HOT. Lisa rejected Back in Business and HOT, saying they didn’t quite match her style. However, she was impressed by Eleven, praising its energy and vibe while suggesting improvements to the chorus.
According to the show, Lisa is considering recording Eleven once it is refined for a more memorable hook, which has excited fans worldwide.
What Makes Hitmakers Unique?
Hitmakers not only features high-stakes music creation but also provides viewers with a rare glimpse into the collaborative yet competitive environment of professional song camps. Lisa’s brief yet impactful appearance has already become a trending topic, fueling speculation about a potential release of Eleven in the near future.
